By joining HEAD, you

  • Receive HEAD Newsletters;
  • Receive special announcements, e.g. from NASA;
  • Are eligible to submit nominations for the HEAD prizes;
  • Are eligible to vote for HEAD Executive Committee Members, who also are HEAD Meeting Scientific Organizing Committee members;
  • Receive HEAD e-mail bulletins;

Membership categories and fees are

  • Full members of the AAS pay only $20.00 per year for HEAD membership.
  • Student members (undergraduate and graduate students) of the AAS can select HEAD membership at no cost.
  • Emeritus members of the AAS can also receive HEAD membership at no cost.
  • Non-members of the AAS can join the HEAD as a division affiliate for $25.00 per year. Division affiliates should be members of comparable professional societies.

AAS members can join HEAD by sending a check payable to HEAD AAS to the American Astronomical Society
